The national team of Oman's athletes participated in the Asian championship for road racing in Thailand. The team consisted of 7 participants: Ahmed Al-Mansouri, Rashid Al-Balushi, Abdulla Jasim, Mohammed Al-Mutairi, Abdullahi Al-Hamadi, Hilal Al-Harbi, and Yusuf Ameiri. Additionally, the team included the champion Safiya As-Saigi.
During the competition, the national team managed to win two medals thanks to the performance of Mohammed Al-Mutairi, who became the winner in the individual race against the clock. Safiya As-Saigi also showed excellent results.
It is especially noteworthy to mention the debut of Rashid Al-Balushi in international competitions, who took 13th place in the race based on overall time and 6th place in the individual race against the clock.
