We encourage all audiences to refer exclusively to verified MUO communications and to continue supporting the delegates who embody the values of Miss Universe.
Last September, the President of Miss Universe, Raúl Rocha, announced on social media that Harfouch would be a member of the Miss Universe 2025 jury.
The Miss Universe Organization issued the following statement:
"The Miss Universe Organization reiterates that all judging procedures for the 74th Miss Universe competition remain official, transparent, and fully governed by MUO protocols."
To this day, no one knows who the 30 selected are, except for one individual who has the results. This same person is affiliated with a national organization of a participating country, which is a clear conflict of interests.
He adds:
"I could not stand before the public and television cameras, pretending to legitimize a vote in which I never participated."
One of the members of the selection committee for the Miss Universe 2025 contest, which will take place this Thursday in Thailand, resigned after being dissatisfied with a preliminary vote before major events of the competition.
The famous Lebanese artist Omar Harfouch said in a video that he would leave his role in the pageant after:
"Two days before the final, a secret vote was held to pre-select 30 contestants out of 136. This vote was carried out by people who are not official members of the jury, including myself."
He also noted that some of the countries eliminated by this process could be at war, discriminated against, or geopolitically sensitive. Viewers would assume that the jury made these decisions, and I cannot take responsibility for a process in which I did not participate."
The Beyond the Crown program operates independently and is not part of the competition's evaluation process.
The Miss Universe 2025 final will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, and the Danish Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, Miss Universe 2024, will crown her successor.
