A Thai fortune teller has been arrested for stealing a teenager's phone after telling her she would face bad luck and lose something valuable on New Year's Eve. The incident occurred on January 1st in Pattaya. The 38-year-old man warned the 19-year-old girl, known only as 'Pim', that she was about to encounter misfortune and lose a precious item. He urged her to give him money to avoid the bad luck. Shortly after the session, Pim noticed her iPhone 13 Pro was missing. She sought help from passersby, and police found the phone hidden in the fortune teller's bag inside a face mask box. The suspect confessed to the police and pleaded with Pim not to press charges, claiming he needed the money for the New Year. Police seized the stolen phone and the fortune teller's tools.
